Q: To answer all ford questions all at once?
SELL IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SELL IT SELL IT SELL IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You people need to stop throwing your hard earned money away and buy anything but FORD/LINCOLN and MERCURY products!!!!!!! Why do you all keep doing this to yourselves?!?!? Once you all realize this, maybe you will find yourselves asking questions like “Where is there a great place to go on a road trip?” instead of “Why is this broken, or whom around my area knows how to fix fords?” Come on people- USE YOUR BRAINS!!!! QUIT DRIVING FORDS!!!! DONT YOU ALL WANT TO BETTER YOUR LIVES?? DONT YOU WANT TO SAVE MONEY IN THE LONG RUN???? But if you insist on driving fords and loving fords and not using any ounce of the brain power God (yes I said “GOD”- go ahead sue me you muslim supporter pig dogs) has given you, then perhaps you deserve the pain and heart breaks (more like break-downs) that the dumb people at Ford Motor Company has more than happily provided for you.

A: I drive a 1995 Ford Crown Victoria which I’ve owned since it was only two years old with 60,000 kilometers on the clock. I now have 355,000 kilometers on the clock and still going strong. So do I own lemon?!!!! A Ford, like any other vehicle, requires regular maintenance in order to provide years of reliable service. My engine and transmission have not been apart so far, other than to replace the valve seals at 300,000. Oil changes, amongst other fluid changes have been regular since my ownership of this vehicle. So, go ahead and bash Ford all you want, it won’t sway me, or the other smarter and loyal Ford owners/drivers away.

Q: What kind of interview questions do Ford model management ask?

A: It’s not an interview. It’s just small talk like your name, where you are from, how old you are, if you are still in school, etc so you don’t feel nervous when they are looking at your face and body. If it’s an open call, you only have about 30-60 seconds total with an agent depending how many other people show up that week.

Here’s a video showing a typical open call at Ford – the process is pretty much the same at most agencies

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMtq8zQIg0U

Arrive early and try to be near the front of the line so you are sure to be seen. At my old agency we did open calls weekly from 3-4 on Tuesdays. We stopped seeing people exactly at 4pm, even if there were still 300 people waiting in line – they were told to come back another week. During the summer when school was out, we might have 500+ people showing up at a weekly open call and only the first 100-200 people in line might be seen in that hour.

If it’s at all possible, I’d wait until school is back in session to attend an open call as there is much less competition and you’ll be able to spend more time with an agent. If only 25 people show up, the agents are less rushed. And you have a much better chance of standing out against 25 other people than 250 other people. Late October/early November were the weeks where we had the fewest people attending open calls – generally 25-50 people each week. Spring and Summer were the busiest. From February – May we had about 100-150 a week, from June – August about 200-500/week

Q: I am going to look at a friends 1937 Ford tomorrow, what questions should I ask to help conversation along?
I don’t know a lot about cars and don’t want there to be awkward pauses.

A: what kind of drive train is it running? is it a flat head? Juice brakes?

Q: Can you help explain these questions about Henry Ford?
What were the traits that helped Henry Ford to become the greatest industrialist of the early twentieth century?

and…

What techniques did Henry Ford incorporate to turn his small automobile company into the giant Ford Motor Company?
I know a little about the assembly line but not much. Could you elaborate on it more and add a little more information please?

A: The reason that Henry was so successful was because his goal was to put the world on wheels. To do this, he offered the famous “$5 a day” wages, and brought tons of people to Detroit, which basically created the middle class. The cars were also pretty affordable for how extravagant they seemed, and Henry took criticism for this. He could have theoretically made soooo much more money if he charged more for his cars and paid his workers less.

The assembly line was designed to help speed production of the cars. If one man assembled one car by himself, he had to know how to put everything together and had to go around to different parts of the factory to get the necessary parts. By creating the assembly lines, certain workers specialized in certain areas where they became efficient at their jobs since the parts were right there and the repetition made it easy.

Hope this helped.

Q: Questions regarding running board on ford explorer?
Hello! We just bought a 2000 ford explorer sport for our daughter. It has 60,000 miles and is in great shape except for the running boards. There is rust on the running boards on both sides.

My question is, would it be possible to buy running boards on ebay and then have a mechanic install them? If so how much would we be looking to spend on the installation? I have priced some running boards on ebay at around 255 dollars.

Thanks for your input and take care!

A: you can get them cheaper then that. just go to the parts store and have them ordered.

Q: I have a couple of questions about a Ford Explorer?
1st question is, is a Ford Explorer 1997 a good truck? How can I find the vin # for this truck if I don’t have it in my possession? Is 187,000 miles to many miles for this truck? Is $4800.00 to much to purchase this truck? Help please!!

A: 187000 miles is kind of high for almost any vehicle let alone a domestic suv. The truck is 11 years old so the miles is somewhat average for that age but again, on the high side. Pretty impressive that the truck is still running.

Ask the seller for the VIN if you think you’re interested in this vehicle. If he/she won’t give it to you, thats just one more reason not to buy it.

In my opinion you could probably find something better for that kind of money though.

Good luck.

Q: Not very good with internet yet. How do I ask someone at Henry Ford Museum questions. Have a 47 from WWII yrs.
I have a 47 Ford pickup with a 226 engine (not the more popular 223). Want to know if it is rare at all due to the WWII years. During the airplane production years; was there in intermittant design which went into production for only a short time after automotive production began again? Thanks for your time.

A: Another source is Ford Motor Company.com They can link you with archives and you can muddle your way from there. The site is a wealth of information but it is sometimes rather difficult to navigate. If you are new you might enjoy some of the discoveries that you make along the way, I did.

Q: Ford Mondeo MK2 questions on condition and cost?
The ford show room mechanic quoted brake fluid change required and linings – pads / shoes as 20% remaining and discs front worn and brake cable worn.

Is it mandatory to change these immediately? Any idea how much it costs?

When i drive the car, i didn’t find any noise or problem.

Your suggestion would be very helpful.

A: Some of these items are nearing the end of their useful and safe lives, so that the margin for coping with unusual circumstances will also be seriously reduced.
You could delay changing them, but is there anything to remind you to do it at a future date?
Get several quotes from other mechanics, e.g. brake cable may just need adjusting (can’t tell from here!)

Q: How do I respond to Ford Girl and others who answer my questions?
I don’t know how to answer questions asked of me when someone responds to my questions.

A: You can click on the pencil icon beneath your question. But be careful. We have all asked questions of the asker when a question is unclear. But if your responses are general discussion of the answers, a good question could soon become a chat violation. So consider the importance of the questions asked before you comment to the answerer’s questions.

Q: I just got a 2001 ford ranger i have some questions?
i just got a 2001 ford ranger its a 2.3L, 5 speed, 2WD, and completly stock. what can i do to it to make it sound and look better ? exhaust ? tires ? headlights ? anything ?

A: ebay ebay ebay ebay…..But be verry sure to look at their ratings (the sellers). If your smart youl get good products at cheap prices, and if your not smart your gona get f’d up for a good price. 2.3L is a small engine umm…I’m checking now and Im seeing that the 2001 didnt come with the 2.3 the 02 did …its your car i might be wrong…umm seriously I’d probably just throw two stripes on there and xenon hid lights…no need for tires or suspen. its not made for offroad. don’t forget CAI(cold air intake), or just find a K&N drop in filter…let me know if you need anything

Q: horsepower and performance questions for 1985 ford ranger STX?
what’s the horsepower/torque ratings for it and what are some easy/cheap ways to improve both? thanks :)
2.8 liter v6

A: well since it’s fairly old. replace air filters and what not. u can also swap out the whole air intake system to one that allows air to flow more easily. exhaust is always good but not as practical if you want to do-it-yourself. you must remember though, it is a 85 there will be wear on the engine so increasing power will only accelerate wear on the truck

Q: 1999 Ford Mustang Security Chip Key Questions?
I have lost the security chip for the key in my 1999 Ford Mustang. Is there anyway to bypass or program a new key? If not, is there any way I can get this done somewhere other than a dealer so it is not so expensive.

A: A local locksmith can program one cheaper that dealer. And dont buy anything from people selling anything on here. Most locksmiths wont program keys that they dont provide >>>>
