Hi, If anyone can provide a list of good forums dedicated to troubleshooting problems with modern Ford models (2004 Ford Focus in my case). It hard to sift through the garbage when doing yahoo or google search, so if anyone has recommendations, it would be much appreciated.

Q: Why do Ford and Mopar losers hang out in GM Forums?
When people ask legitimate questions about GM/Chevy, these LOSERS answer such as “GMC means great mess of crap” or “run it in a tree and get a mopar” etc.etc. As a GMC/Chevy owner, have to say the IMPORT CROWD is more intelligent than FORD or MOPAR owners.
Otherwise we’d see similar responses saying to drown your Chevy and get a Honda, but we don’t. It’s always Ford and Mopar.
Note: NOT saying all Ford/Mopar owners are losers. BUT THE ONES WHO COME IN HERE TO TELL US GM SUCKS ARE!!

A: Well Ford and the maintaince and repairs are about the only Yahoo places for the heavy Ford trucks such as your 1984.
I do occasionally work on mediums but not like others in the shop I work at.
There are no real forums for repair that I have found for medium duty trucks as most people don’t try to shade tree Medium duty trucks as you would your f-150 for instance…

Q: What color is the speed pulse wire or (VSS) on 2000 ford ranger?
i have been trying to find this for a while now. i have a avic d3 installed in my 2000 ford ranger the nav works but its not very accurate and most forums tell me this wire is the problem i just cant find where it is or what color it is. i know where the pcm is and its gotta be coming off that right?
A: It is a Grey with black stripe.
Pick it up off the cruise control plug on passenger side fender near washer bottle.
There is also one on one of the plugs next to the radio.
Q: How to fix a dashboard light on 1995 Ford Ranger?
The lights on my dashboard for my gas gage and battery gage don’t work. Does anyone know how to fix them? Or is there a good website that has some forums or something where I can find out how to fix them? Also I am not sure that the engine temperature gage is working properly, so I may need to fix that as well. Thanks.
A: You will need to pull the instrument cluster out to replace the bulbs and for the temperature check the sender,,,,,,,,
Q: 2000 Ford Windstar fuse 10 blows?
My neighbor has a 2000 Ford Windstar van, the other day they mentioned the speedometer, AC, odometer, and a few other things stopped working, and the ABS light is on.
After googling around a bit, I found an article that said it’s usually a leaking pressure switch on the master-cylinder…so I sent them the link.

Today, they called me and said they replaced fuse 10 (a 10-amp funny enough) and it fixed the problem for about 8-10 seconds before it blew again…so they’re going to try and get a replacement switch and install it since that’s probably the problem.
Anyone know of websites that have (free) guides, diagrams, or pictures of what this thing looks like, how to install it, and if there are any other steps?
Does the brake-fluid reservoir need to be drained to do this?
Would they need to bleed the system after replacing the part?
A: Guessing, the speed control cut-off switch is leaking fluid, if it is change the switch and clean out the wire harness
Q: Ford Ranger Camshaft Synchronizer?
I have a 2001 Ford Ranger Edge with the 4L V6. It has 185k miles on it and lately it has been making a chirping noise. I have been reading through the ford forums and I’ve narrowed it down to possibly being the camshaft synchronizer (chirping is loudest when you are under the truck and it sounds like it is coming from the rear of the engine), but no auto stores list one for my year; the stores and every where I have looked only lists them for the 3L and previous years.
So my question is whether my truck even has a camshaft synchronizer (I can find the sensor at stores, but was told my check engine light would register if the sensor was bad)? I would also like any other suggestions as to what the chirping could be coming from.
A: 2001 only had the SOHC 4.0L it does not have a camshaft synchronizer. You could be hearing a cracked flexplate if its an Automatic, or a bad pilot bearing if its a Manual Trans, If the noise is only present with the clutch down its a bad pilot bearing,
Q: 2003 Ford Taurus shuts off while driving, had multiple parts replaced, need help!?!?
The car shuts off while driving, then comes back on really quick. If I pull up to a red light, it will shut off completely and I have to restart it. I have had the replaced the ignition switch, alternator, battery, and CAM sensors, but neither I nor the mechanic have any idea what to do… I am at wits end and really need help. Q: I have a 2005 Ford Escape. Yesterday, the ABS and 4wd lights both came on and won’t go out. Any thoughts?
I have been on several forums and several people have the same problems but nobody seems to have an answer.
We have a code scan done, no errors and we have disconnected the battery. We still have the problem.
A: try disconnecting the battery for a minute. the positive terminal only.
you will have to reset the clock and radio stations but it might work.
other than that go to any auto zone store or place like it,or even a local mechanic, they usually will have a computer they can plug in and let you know what is going on. but if the mechanic wants to charge you go somewhere else-don`t pay to have someone hook up the computer to your car-a nice honest guy will do it for free.
Q: install a AM/FM CD radio in a 1996 XLT ford explorer?
I need the wire color codes to install an stereo. I have already received answers to this question from other forums, but all the color codes they gave me were not the same as my wires in my XLT ford explorer (1996) I hope someone can please help me??!!! I have been waiting for a week now THANK U

there are some 1995 and 1996 that have the premiums sound system JBL or DSP this systems don’t have the radio at front
that unit at front is only a remote control unit ,that is the reason why there is no antenna plug in the back
( because it is not a radio )
the radio is in the back right side of the truck behind the plastic panel there you will also find the sub woofer and the sub amplifier there is where you are going to find all your wires good luck with the installation if that is not the case here is the link for the regular sound system

Q: How can I remove my automatic shifter knob? Ford Thunderbird 1990 Base?
I checked some forums and I don’t have that U shaped thing on the front side of it. I checked every single part of the knob and no screws or holes. And can not screw off the knob too.
My knob is not the leather one, it is plastic. Still can’t find the C or U shaped thing. There are just 2 metal C shaped metal things at the top. I took them out but no difference.
A: With c-clips out just twist and pull til it gives, basically a press on item. Get a grip and pull hard.
Q: Anyone seen this Ford problem? I have. $4000 to repair mine?

A: I used to be a mechanic at a ford dealer and we saw it happen pretty often. The only way to fix it is to replace the cylinder head because ford did not thread the head deep enough in the spark plug hole. It is a bad design and I would not buy any vehicle with the 4.6 liter or 5.4 liter engines. They also had problems with the head gaskets leaking oil down the back of the block.
