Q: hay i have 2 choose from Volkswagen jetta(diesel), Chevrolet Cruze & skoda laura (diesel)?
i am impressed by the style of cruze, its low maintenance cost being chevrolet… & has very good interior… chevrolet has lot of accessories, very low vibration being diesel & is really value 4 money…
Jetta seems 2 be very steady 2 drive (i observed during test drive), excellent built quality (metal used was very hard as compaired 2 cruze) but is low on styling, & is comparatively small.
the best thing abt jetta is the tag volkswagen… which is very prestigious.
jetta also a very high maintenance cost being german
laura is good in comfort but is very costly 2 maintain… the built quality is good
please help me 2 choose the most prestigious out of these 3…

Q: Drive belts on 1999 Chevrolet Tracker?
OK motorheads, I need some help. Just got a new/used 1999 Chevrolet Tracker (really a Canadian built Suzuki) with the 2.0 liter DOHC motor. There are two drive belts: a serpentine that drives most accessories, and a little one in front that only spins the fan. What’s the procedure to replace these? The manual is of no assistance.
A: Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Loosen the adjusting bolt and the pivot bolt.
Remove the tension on the fan belt by rotating the tension bolt counterclockwise.
Remove the 4 fan nuts. Use a second wrench to hold the fan shaft.
Important: Do not damage the radiator when removing the fan.
Detach the fan from the pulley hub and remove the fan belt.
Installation Procedure
Install the fan belt while holding the fan away from the pulley hub.
Install the fan to the hub.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Install the 4 fan nuts. Use a second wrench to hold the fan shaft.
Tighten
Tighten the fan nuts to 11 N·m (97 lb in).
Install the fan belt properly on the pulleys.
Turn the tension bolt clockwise in order to obtain the specified belt deflection under 10 kg (22 lbs) of force.
New Belt Deflection
4-5 mm (0.16-0.20 in)
Used Belt Deflection
5-7 mm (0.20-0.27 in)
Tighten the adjusting bolt and the pivot bolt while holding the correct tension on the fan belt.
Tighten the bolts to 45 N·m (33 lb ft).
Connect the negative battery cable.
Tighten
Tighten the battery cable bolt to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

Q: Chevrolet Captiva, Honda CRV or Toyota Rav4?
We’re looking to buy a compact SUV but dont know which the best one is.
What we need in the SUV are:
1. fuel efficiency
2. safety features and storage space
3. resale value
4. the most accessories or “perks” that come with the standard price.
So generally, we’re looking for one that’s great value for money.
Which do you recommend?
A: Honda crv
it’s expensive
but worth it
that spare tire on the back of the toy rav4 is a safety hazard
the honda has removed it.
not familiar with a captiva but Hondas are better than 95% of any chevy.

Q: Where is the relay for my rear hatch?
I have a 1993 Chevrolet K1500 Blazer (Silverado). It has an electric rear hatch. I replaced the actuator motor in the tailgate, however it did no good. There is obviously a relay for it, but I am not sure where. There is no fuse because there are no accessory fuses. It is a pain to go to a grocery store and not be able to use the key FOB to open the hatch. Help me…PLEASE.
A: the door lock relay is located up under the dash behind the radio
Q: Chevrolet S10 problems?
Well dad got me a truck, (99 s10 2wd single cab manual) and we have replaced the engine since when we bought it there was a hole in the block. Well the windshield wiper motor doesnt work and the radio won’t play when the truck is running. Also it has a roll pan, and the tag lights don’t work because they don’t fit through the roll pan slot or something. How long is it gonna take for the windshield wiper motor to be installed and this roll pan problem. and any idea on how to fix the radio problem? It plays when the truck is set to accessories
A: Personal opinion – roll pans look stupid. Take it off.
If the tail lights don’t fit then you need to remove the roll pan or remove some material to make the tail lights fit. Either way the lights should still function – make sure your bulbs are good, wiring is okay, fuses are good, make sure the ground is connected properly (might not be if somebody installed a roll pan). Wiring problems can be hard to track down, but they are usually pretty cheap to fix.
If the radio plays on “acc” but not on “on” you have other wiring issues as well. That doesn’t really make sense because anything that works on acc should work while on, so I am not sure what your problem is without seeing the truck in person. For a quick fix you can take the radio power wire and run it through the “on” part of your ignition. That way it won’t work on accessory, but at least you will have some tunes driving down the road.
Windshield wiper motor – are you installing it or having it installed? If you are doing it yourself you should count on a few hours, but it shouldn’t be an all day project. I would double check to make sure you actually NEED one before you buy one. Your question already hints that your vehicles has some electrical issues. It is possible the motor is good but some wiring got messed up or the switch went bad or a relay is bad. Troubleshoot before you start buying parts you may not really need.
Q: How can I fix the ignition tumbler on my truck?
1998 Chevrolet S-10; key is stuck in the accessory position
A: The problem is that most tumbler will only come out of the column when the Key in on accessory position, you might try pushing the tumbler back into place and see if it comes un-stuck!
