A: it is an old prototype cadillac cien. technically it is not ripping off anything because it was never put into production. many vehicles today have the butterfly or lamborghini doors. its becoming quite popular to have them, just because lamborghini started the trend, doesnt exactly mean every car that looks that way is ripping off their style.

A: Nothing wrong with being spoiled. If you work hard and your parents want to reward you that seems fair. When I got my first car i was in the same boat as you,2 jobs, A’s, community service, ect.
I got a 1999 ford lightning…i know you probably don’t know what that is, but its badass trust me. As for you probably the BMW, you’ll have less problems, plus I think that they look cooler. Try gettin an 04 lightning, you don’t see to many chicks in lightnings…you’ll turn a lot of heads.
by the way black is the best color for any cars. hard to keep clean but looks hella good when it is

A: this looks like a pretty tough one,
Looks: the alfa romeo definitely got my eye on this one, honestly the aston martin hasn’t changed so much in looks over the past few years… alfa looks gets a 10 and aston gets a 7
Performance: of course the aston martin wins this area with that huge v12 the v8 on the alfa honestly doesnt stack up, alfa 6 aston gets a 8
Day-to-day tolerance: the alfa will go easier on your wallet but it seems like the aston gets better reviews for its interior, which of course depends on the person’s likes, but on me they are pretty equal… alfa 10 aston 10
The one I would truly have,…if I could lol would be, honestly the alfa although at first I was indecisive but I made up my mind…

Q: Installing a SRT8 Engine onto a Cherokee 2006?
Would it be possible at all to have a srt8 engine on a normal 2006 Cherokee? http://www.carforums.net/reviews/makes/pictures/jeep04.jpg (in case you were wondering what a normal cherokee looks like)
Well, my jeep currently has a V6 engine. I’m in love with my car, but would kill for a SRT8 Grand Cherokee, with that said, i was thinking to reach some mid point of agreement and simply get the engine slapped onto my Cherokee. The only main reason is for more power.
So knowing that it is possible, is it advisable, if these are my intentions?
A: Yes it can be done, with a lot of time and money. When you go swapping engines like this there are a ton of modifications that need to be made. Most of these mods are going to need to be made as you go because it is not common enough for someone to mass produce engine mount relocaters etc. With out looking to hard at this swap I see a need for:
-Total drive line swap as well (if you find the engine to an SRT Grand Cherokee take the whole drive line) The regular Cherokee transmission and transfer case would not take the power of the motor.
-Computer..Your going to need the computer from the SRT engine
-Motor mounts will need to be relocated so the best bet would be to either make your own or take them off the donor jeep, remove the existing ones and weld these where they need to be.
-Depending on how tight of a fit is is..you may have to do some beating and banging in the engine bay as well as cut out and relocate the firewall for everything to fit.
This is just a small idea of what is required for the swap. If you are still wanting to try it I would suggest giving these guys a call http://burnsvilleoffroad.com/ these guys put up to a 7.2L 636hp Hemi V8 in Wranglers. They might be able to give you some idea of what else needs to be done. They also have engine swap kits that include the computer, wiring etc.
If your looking for more power why not look into stroking one of the I6 motors? You can stroke a 4.0L out to a 5.0L. To give you an idea the stock 4.0L has around 195hp and 240 ft/lb of torque. A stroked 4.8L has around 285hp and 354 ft/lb of torque. Again the bigger you go the higher the price and you can go out to a 5.0L 328hp and 375 ft/lb of torque but your gonna pay for it. But it still may be cheaper than trying to stuff a 6.1L V8 in. I was happy with the 4.8L stroker that we just swapped in. We did all of the work except for the machine work (boring the block etc) and bought donor motor from craiglist. The whole build set me back around $1200.00.

Oh there is another option if your looking for pulling power…there are a few people out there that have swapped in a diesel motor into the Cherokee, you can do a search on that as well.

My “new” car looks like this one~only even uglier color, a lot of rust, big dent, and plenty of scratches (that’s just the outside). Not to mention the drivers door squeeks loudly. (Haven’t drove my “new” car yet~but it already embarasses me and I hate it and I don’t even want to drive it.) But, my old car in unfixable so now I go from a clean, decent (but not spactacular) car to god awfuly horrible. Only good things about it is that the engine in it works.
lol~I WOULD take the bus if I COULD. but
1) I live in the country…bus doesn’t come in the country
2) I have to drive over an hour to get to a small town for about 4 more weeks…even then I still have to drive to school. I just miss my old car.
lol…runs good; I don’t know as I haven’t driven it yet but it’s really loud and I was told it leaks coolent that I apparently have to baby sit and watch for. (For that matter, the glove compartment can’t even open!)
I know I’m complaining~but compared to my old used car …. I used to make fun of my dad for having a car like this before~then he traded it in for a much better looking car. Now I’m driving one of these . (I notice cars on roads. Most people aren’t driving ugly cars like this these days.) Really, I just miss my old car and sad that I can’t ever use it again. (lasted for 4 years; wasn’t driven much until this year.) My “new” car is estimated to last only 2 years~how encouraging. Guess I’ll get to embarass myself again one day by blocking a well used stop sign.
